Add a visible text watermark to PDF pages
Place a text watermark over all PDF pages or only the pages you select. Control the watermark text, opacity, and angle before downloading the result.
NetroDoc renders the watermark with Unicode-aware text shaping so Latin and right-to-left text such as Arabic can be displayed correctly. The watermark is added as a transparent image overlay and the original page content remains in the PDF.
How to watermark a PDF
Upload the PDF
Choose the PDF you want to mark.
Configure the watermark
Enter the text, choose opacity and angle, and optionally select specific pages.
Download the result
NetroDoc renders the watermark, applies it to the requested pages, and returns a verified PDF.
How the watermark is rendered
The text is rendered into a transparent PNG layer with the server-side Unicode font and RAQM text-layout engine, then placed over the PDF page. This supports proper shaping and direction for Arabic and other complex scripts.
The current tool supports one line of text up to 80 characters, opacity from 5% to 80%, and angles of -45, 0, or 45 degrees. Leaving the page field empty applies the mark to every page.

Temporary server-side processing
The uploaded file is processed in a temporary working directory on the NetroDoc server. This tool does not intentionally send the document to a third-party conversion or cloud API.
Temporary working files are removed after the response is sent or when processing fails. No account is required, and the original upload is not modified.

Can I watermark only selected pages?
Yes. Enter page numbers or ranges such as 1-3,5, or leave the field empty for all pages.
Does the watermark support Arabic text?
Yes. The renderer uses Unicode-aware RAQM text shaping for right-to-left scripts such as Arabic.
Is the watermark editable as normal PDF text?
No. It is inserted as a transparent image overlay to keep complex-script rendering consistent.
