Use PDF to PNG when you need a raster image of each complete PDF page for previews, presentations, publishing systems, or image-only upload forms.
NetroDoc renders every page at 150 DPI. A one-page PDF returns one PNG, while a multi-page PDF returns numbered PNG files inside a ZIP in page order.

What happens during PDF to PNG conversion?
PDF pages can contain text, vectors, images, fonts, and layout instructions. NetroDoc renders the visible page into pixels and encodes it as PNG.
Selectable text, PDF links, form controls, and other interactive features do not remain interactive because the output is an image.
The tool converts complete PDF pages; it does not extract original embedded image files from inside the PDF.
PDF to PNG or PDF to JPG?
Both tools render the visible PDF page into pixels, but the image format changes the trade-off.
Choose PNG for sharp graphics
PNG is useful for pages with text, diagrams, interface elements, or other edges where lossless image encoding is useful.
Choose JPG for photographic pages
PDF to JPG can be a practical alternative when the page is mainly photographic and JPEG is accepted by the destination.
Keep PDF for selectable content
Stay with PDF when text selection, links, forms, vectors, or other document features still need to remain interactive.

What changes after PDF pages become PNG
- Selectable text, hyperlinks, form controls, vector objects, and other PDF interactivity become pixels in the PNG output.
- The tool renders complete pages; it does not extract the original embedded images from inside the PDF.
- Rendering is fixed at 150 DPI. If the destination requires a different raster resolution, review whether PNG output from this tool matches that requirement.
Temporary file processing
The uploaded file is processed in a temporary working directory on the NetroDoc server. The current conversion pipeline does not intentionally send the uploaded file to a third-party conversion service or cloud API.
The temporary working directory is removed after the response is sent, and it is also removed when validation or conversion fails. No account is required.

What resolution is used?
The current PDF image pipeline renders pages at 150 DPI.
What is the page limit?
PDF image export is limited to 200 pages per conversion.
Are password-protected PDFs supported?
Not currently. The PDF must be unlocked first.
How is PNG different from PDF?
PNG is a raster image output, so PDF text selection, links, forms, and other document interactivity are not preserved.
