How to convert JPG to WEBP

1

Upload the JPG

Choose one valid JPG image.

2

Convert the image

NetroDoc decodes the JPG and encodes a WEBP copy.

3

Download the WEBP

Save the converted image with its original dimensions.

What changes during conversion

The output keeps the source width and height, and EXIF orientation is applied before encoding.

WEBP quality 85 uses lossy compression. Metadata is not guaranteed to be retained, and visual differences are possible after re-encoding.

Changing the format does not guarantee a smaller file. The source JPEG compression, image content, and WEBP encoder settings all influence the final size, so compare the actual output when file size is the reason for converting.

When to convert JPG to WEBP

Modern websites

Prepare photos for browsers and content systems that accept WEBP.

App assets

Create a WEBP version for a modern application workflow.

Format standardization

Convert JPG assets to one consistent delivery format.

Temporary server-side processing

The uploaded image is processed in a temporary working directory and is not intentionally sent to a third-party conversion API.

Temporary files are removed after the response is completed or when processing fails. No account is required.
