Crop PDF margins with precise measurements
Crop unwanted outer margins from every page of a PDF using millimetre values. The original page content remains in the document while the visible crop box is reduced.
Use independent left, right, top, and bottom values. NetroDoc verifies that the requested crop still leaves a usable page area before saving the result.
How to crop a PDF
Upload the PDF
Choose the PDF whose outer margins you want to trim.
Enter crop margins
Set the left, right, top, or bottom crop values in millimetres. At least one value must be greater than zero.
Download the cropped PDF
NetroDoc applies the crop to every page, verifies the result, and returns a new PDF.
What PDF cropping changes
Cropping changes each page crop box rather than rasterizing the document. Text, vectors, links, and other PDF content remain part of the file, although content outside the new visible crop area is no longer shown by normal PDF viewers.
The same margin values are applied to every page. If a requested crop would make any page too small, NetroDoc rejects the operation instead of producing a damaged result.
When to crop PDF pages
Remove scanner borders
Trim blank or dark borders left around scanned pages.
Tighten document framing
Reduce excessive whitespace around invoices, forms, or exported documents.
Prepare consistent pages
Apply the same visible margins before sharing or printing a PDF.
Temporary server-side processing
The uploaded file is processed in a temporary working directory on the NetroDoc server. This tool does not intentionally send the document to a third-party conversion or cloud API.
Temporary working files are removed after the response is sent or when processing fails. No account is required, and the original upload is not modified.
Privacy →Crop PDF FAQ
Does cropping delete the hidden content permanently?
Cropping changes the visible page area. Content outside the crop box may still exist internally in the PDF.
Can I use different margins on different pages?
The current version applies the same four margin values to every page.
What happens if the margins are too large?
NetroDoc rejects the request if any page would become too small to use safely.
